I’m not one of those Black Friday shoppers. I remember working at the restaurant on Black Fridays, as it is a huge day for restaurants, and seeing the mad rush of people at the mall across the street. Each time I’d see a weary mother collapsing into a booth and ordering a glass of wine, I’d be so thankful that I was working instead of shopping. Yes, there are great deals to be had … if you can handle the crowds. There are some shoppers that handle it brilliantly. Perhaps it is a tradition in their family, a grand shopping adventure to gear up for Christmas. There are those that enjoy the hunt. Some come with a complete game plan in mind. “A map and a plan“, as Mat would say. But there are also some that have that sense of entitlement about them, that ugly quality that tends to come out during this time of year.
I prefer to do my shopping online for that reason specifically. Plus, crowds make me grumpy. *snicker* I’d much rather write my list out ahead of time. Browsing gift guides for inspiration, and even discount codes. Yep. That’s exactly what I did this year. So here’s a note to any companies that are on the fence about jumping in the review blogger pool … your company and products will get looked at. And people WILL have that seed implanted in their brain and return to make a purchase. I sure did! I even purchased items for others that I’ve reviewed myself. And chances are your company will end up with a loyal customer base in the long run.
I’m SO excited to give the gifts that I chose. I love giving gifts. I’d much rather give than receive… It fills me with great happiness. Here’s a look at a few of the things I’ll be gifting this year. All for under $35, of course {that’s how I roll}.

This post and previous gift guide posts were written because I wanted to. I was NOT compensated. I am merely sharing some great gift ideas with my readers.
I do pretty much all my shopping online, too. I'm like you when it comes to Black Friday (I saw your answer on the Mommy-Files blog). The only thing I pick up in stores is little stocking stuffers, like candies and chapstick, etc. Can't wait to see what you are getting Charlie….
Trust me when I say we don't normally look this idyllic, picturesque, +/or gussied up. In fact if you were to drop by unannounced {please don't} I'd be makeup free, in jeans and a tee, and my hair would be a hot mess.
Charlie might look like this though. Probably making that face, too. But nonetheless, this is me and my itty bitty family.

Cute gifts. I own a few of those. I adore online shopping and Etsy rocks.
