Winnie the Pooh: A Valentine for You Special Edition Review

  • Sharebar
We love Winnie the Pooh, that’s a given. I’m happy to be adding a cute Valentine’s DVD to Charlie’s small, but growing Disney DVD collection. We watched Winnie the Pooh: A Valentine for You last night before dinner. It’s a sweet movie, perfect for little ones to get ready for Valentine’s Day. It might be hard to fully grasp the concept of Valentine’s Day at their age {okay, to be fair, it can be hard for adults too}, so this DVD is a great way to introduce your child to Valentine’s Day while instilling the importance and value of friendships.

This Special Edition DVD includes 3 heart warming stories {one being new to DVD}:

Un-Valentine’s Day :: Rabbit in his typical form wants to call off Valentine’s Day because the year before he was drowning in cards. He’s such a party pooper, that Rabbit!
My Hero :: Sweet short story about friendship. Piglet saves Tigger. To show his thanks, Tigger vows to be Piglet’s humble servant — maybe too serving…
A Valentine for You :: My favorite of the three. I loved the idea that Christopher Robin was bitten by a “Smitten”. The gang worries for their friend and tries to cure him of his ailment — slightly sad though, the thought of Christopher Robin outgrowing his friends!

Charlie and I enjoyed watching Winnie the Pooh: A Valentine for You – Wonderful stories to share with your children, and get talking about the importance of friendships. And I have to add, another plus for me is the length – only 60 minutes, broken down to 3 stories? HUGELY appreciated. Charlie’s attention span mimics that of a gnat, so we can watch one short story, move on to another activity, and come back later for more Hundred Acre Wood fun!

Bonus feature: Catch the Love Bug game

Includes: Winnie the Pooh Valentine’s cards!
Released January 5th, 2010 :: SRP $29.99 US; $35.99 Canada
