Pigtail Pals Review and Giveaway :: CLOSED

My mom always said “Be your best” anytime we left for school. That still resonates in my head today and as a momma I only want Charlie to be her best too. Where ever life takes her down the road, no matter what,  I want her to be her best. I certainly don’t want her thinking she can’t do something because she has two X chromosomes. Girls rock!

Melissa Wardy wanted to get away from the ubiquitous pink and purple princess-diva-drama queen trend, which is why she started Pigtail Pals. She wants little girls to know they may be bold, adventurous and heroic just like the boys! Melissa wants role models for her daughter that exemplified courage, intelligence, and independence.
The idea came to me while watching my daughter play during playgroup when she was 10 months old. The other moms were talking about Disney Princesses, and the wheels inside my feminist head started turning. I asked aloud “Why do we teach girls to wish upon a star for a prince. We should be teaching them to get in a rocket ship and get to that star on their own. I’d like to see that on a shirt for a girl.” I was met with blank stares. I raced home and filled an entire notebook with ideas.

Charlie was sent an empowering t-shirt from Pigtail Pals, the Carpenter tee. A Premium pre-shrunk cotton tee. The saying “I broke a nail…” may not be what you’d expect. If you look closely you’ll see a bent nail on the ground beside this Pigtail Pal. Adorable with a dash of tongue in cheek. I loveit! Charlie is certainly not afraid to get dirty, she loves her Carhart overalls, helping daddy – really just playing with his tools, playing with trucks, and throwing a ball around. I think she’s off to a good, well-rounded start. :)
Pigtail Pals tees are made sweatshop, child-labor free. Pigtail Pals marketing materials are always recyclable. Packing and shipping materials are post-consumer and are also recyclable. T-shirts range in sizes 6 months to girls 14/16, and are also available in ladies’ sizes. Every month, Pigtail Pals donates a portion of their sales from each and every t-shirt purchased. They partner with charitable organizations whose projects focus on child education, health care, and access to clean water and food.

In the coming weeks, Pigtail Pals will be also offering school supplies, stickers, greeting cards, and logo hats all ready for your girl’s back-to-school needs!!
