Print Green with Preton Review and Giveaway :: CLOSED

  • Sharebar

My printer is old. Well, it’s really only about 10 years old, but in printer years that’s ancient. The toner that it takes is ridiculously expensive since I vowed to never use store brand toner to after it exploded in my face… All that to save a few bucks? Not thanks! So I only buy the printer’s brand of toner, which makes me very scrooge-y with what I print. I pretty much have printer envy when I hear about other people’s printers that save on their printing needs. Thankfully, I was able to check out the Preton Ink Saver Software.

This easy to install software …
♦ Reduces consumable spending by up to 70%.
♦ Comprehensive reports on cost and usage.
♦ Easy to install and manage.
♦ Supports all Inkjet and LaserJet printers.
♦ Color and mono, local and network printers.
♦ Supports Windows, Win XP SP2 and up, Win Vista and Win 7.

PretonSaver does not change driver or application settings. It works with your existing printer and your printer’s driver settings. The software does not change the driver configuration in order to work its magic. So no worries!
Based on the nifty Pixel Optimizer technology, this software uses advanced algorithms to identify and delete pixels that are not necessary to maintain the high quality level printing, majorly reducing toner and ink usage.

Not only will Preton make sure your printer uses ink efficiently, saving you up to 70% on your printing costs, but in doing so it also allows for green printing.  Something we probably don’t give enough thought to… Did you know that tree “harvesting” for the pulp industry accounts for over 42% of logged trees? And the world’s demand for paper is to grow by 2.1%  EACH year until 2020. That’s insane!

Green Printing
Take the green printing quiz to test your knowledge, learn some valuable information, and shocking facts about printer ink. I only got 60% :( I’m an ink waster… *sniffle* I’ll get better though, I promise!

Looking at the pages I’ve printed out since installing PretonSaver, I cannot see a difference or change in quality. And each time I print, it tracks how much I’ve saved. On average I’m saving 35%. Every little bit helps :)

I'm not sure exactly how much but I know it is a lot especially during the school year when we have reports to do. Just the black ink cartrige is $27 when you add in the color that is at least $50 and we usually change it once or twice a year.

OEM cartridges are $30 – $35 each so I buy from an online supplier at a much reduced price. I've also had my cartridges refilled at Walgreens and have had no problems.
